ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

My Service on the Water

“Water is the guiding force and driving force behind this work. This is a service beyond the realm of the mind; it is an aquatic service.

My role is to provide this space and time of care and trust. I propose physical sequences, like a conversation of questions and answers. I offer movements in line with the technique, but there is always room to engage with the creativity expressed by the other person’s body.

In this creative dance, I value consistent gentleness, maintaining relaxation and enjoyment as the cornerstones of a good session. I respect the limitations of each body with due care.”

Ainoa Caetano

To choose to Receive and Flow is to remember that life is magnificent, and that there are secrets hidden in the spaces beyond my control.
ABOUT THE FACILITATOR

A Wide and Free Space

“Born in the village of Arraial d’Ajuda, in southern Bahia, Brazil, I grew up by the sea. I was baptised at low tide on that very beach where I would grow up.

I have memories from every stage of my life: playing in the sand, consulting the waters, learning from their movements, seeking guidance, and also feeling very happy and energised in this place.
I can therefore offer what I have received: a vast and free space. I maintain this time-space, keeping it alive and nurtured, so that the authenticity of the person being supported can express itself.

I remain in a place of active listening. Attentive to the verbal and non-verbal communication coming from the person being attended to, perceiving the intuitions received and holding myself as a channel for the consciousness of the water, performing the necessary movements with gentleness and precision.”

Ainoa Caetano

Trained in the three immersive modules of the Água Vida methodology, developed by Mauricio Castillo, Ainoa combines the techniques of this method with her devotion to and connection with the waters of this planet.

A researcher into teaching and learning processes through the body, Ainoa has always studied and practised various bodywork techniques.

In the AguaVida method, she found a path through which he could integrate theory and practice in his pursuit of self-improvement, based on embodied self-exploration, while also making his psychic and spiritual development available for the common benefit.

About the Água Vida Method

The Água Vida methodology was developed by Mauricio Castillo, a psychologist and aquatic therapist, born in Mexico and based in Bahia for over 10 years.

Drawing on principles from Janzu and Aguahara, he adapted a methodology that could be practised in the natural waters of rivers and the sea. Emphasising active listening, each session is always tailored to the movements and needs of each individual’s body.

Agua Vida is a therapy practised in silence and is introspective, helping individuals to work through their emotions and feelings autonomously, releasing their barriers and reconnecting with their singularity.

Agua Vida is also a form of aquatic massage, performed not by hands and fingers, but by the water itself. During the sessions, the person surrenders, closes their eyes and, through the movements made by the facilitator, enters deep states of meditation.

"For me, this work is like a dance. I connect with the person beyond the mind. Then we are able to enter a deep state of connection together.” Mauricio Castillo
